New this year, Francis Ford Coppola Winery will introduce its new line of Great Women Spirits, branded after trailblazing (BADASS?) women in history. The line-up includes Maria Gaetana Agnesi small-batch American brandy, The Countess Walewska authentic potato premium vodka, and Ada Lovelace California distilled dry gin, all a great accompaniment to the delicious savory and sweet CineCHEF culinary spread.

A James Beard Foundation award winner for Best Chef Southwest in 2013 and nominee for Outstanding Chef in 2016, Jasinski opened her first restaurant,

Rioja, in Denver’s Larimer Square to critical acclaim in 2004. Two years later In 2006, she and her business partner acquired Bistro Vendôme, also located on Larimer Square. Other notable openings include Euclid Hall Bar & Kitchen in 2010, Stoic & Genuine in 2014 and her newest endeavor, Ultreia, in Union Station. “Chef Jen” was a finalist on the 2013 season of Top Chef Masters and won the Denver Cochon 555 in 2014. She was named 2004 Colorado Chef of the Year and 2005 Western Regional Chef of the Year by the American Culinary Federation. She lives in Denver with her chef husband Max MacKissock and their dogs.

Liliana Myers has been in the food industry since her days working at Lindell Delicatessen in her hometown of Long Beach, New York. After graduating from high school, Myers moved to Pittsburg to study Chemical Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University. After one year, she headed to New York City to pursue her true passion – pastry.

Myer’s informal education started at Thomas Keller’s famous Bouchon Bakery, where she worked as a pastry cook. It was there and at Bar Boulud that Liliana learned to perfect the production of macarons, and developed a love for French pastry. Myers decided to move to France where she landed a position at La Feniere as a pastry and savory cook. Here, she produced desserts for both the Two Star Michelin gastronomique restaurant, as well as the bistro. After returning to New York, Myers worked as a pastry sous chef at various French restaurants, including the One Michelin Star restaurant Rouge Tomate, where she created sustainable and nutrition-forward desserts, aligning with the restaurant’s ethos.

In 2013, Myers relocated to Boulder, Colorado, where she worked as Executive Pastry Chef at The Mediterranean Restaurant, Brasserie 1010, and Via Perl, with some front of house experience as General Manager at The Bakery at the Mediterranean. Myers joins Alon Shaya and the team at Pomegranate Hospitality as the pastry chef of Safta, located at The Source Hotel in Denver, where she’ll create desserts and pastries to reflect the modern Israeli menu, celebrating the region’s signature ingredients like orange blossom, pistachios and figs.

Chef, Owner, The Bindery

Linda Hampsten Fox is the owner and chef of The Bindery, Ltd. Born in New Jersey, Linda moved to Colorado to attend the University of Colorado in Boulder at age 17. After working in the restaurant industry and owning her own catering business in Boulder, she moved to Europe for twelve years, perfecting her craft while apprenticing in Switzerland, Italy and France. Returning to Colorado in 2002, Linda spent the next years working with private clients such as Dr. Jane Goodall, actor Michael York, and Nancy Pelosi. She helped to create a cooking school in San Jose del Cabo and has worked to support various local foundations through her culinary expertise.

Linda recently cooked at The Great Chefs of the West for The National Kidney Foundation and will be part of Heritage Fire during the Aspen Food and Wine Festival. Her first cookbook, a collection of recipes from her mother’s kitchen, to the hills of Tuscany, into the hearth of the Bindery’s ovens, will be available at the end of the summer.
Carrie Baird

Chef/partner Carrie Baird has made a name for herself leading the kitchens of some of the most highly regarded restaurants in Denver over the last two decades, including Rioja and Just Be Kitchen, Baird’s signature style fuses locally sourced ingredients with twists on both classic and innovative dishes. A native of Idaho, Baird trained in Colorado with an emphasis on classic Mediterranean, Italian and French techniques. She believes great food comes from cooking from your heart and is passionate about working with local farmers and ranchers to develop her menus.”Colorado has the most amazing proteins and produce, and we have the wonderful opportunity to cultivate a relationship between the consumer and farmer,” Baird says.

Most recently, Carrie was a competitor on Top Chef Colorado, the 15th season of the acclaimed cooking show, where she quickly became a fan-favorite among her Denver audience and all the way across the country.

Jessica is the first born of triplets. Her dual-degree in Culinary Arts and Restaurant Management, Masters degree in Holistic Nutrition and Metabolic Typing, and Reiki certification help her to nourish herself and others from the inside out. She believes food is our fuel, and takes great responsibility in using only the best ingredients to support energy, digestion and assimilation. It is her passion and privilege to serve the community through creative and nourishing food and beverages. Jessica lives in Boulder with her Czech husband and two beautiful daughters. Together they enjoy all that Boulder has to offer.

Under Sheila’s guidance as Executive Chef, Jax has garnered widespread acclaim, winning Best Seafood Restaurant in 5280 Magazine, Westword Magazine, City Search, and Rocky Mountain News. Guided by a concern for the health of our oceans and the state of our global fish stocks, Sheila has spearheaded a sustainability program at Jax. In June 2017, she was invited to Washington D.C. to meet with members of Congress and lobby for several key environmental policies that were up for renewal. She also participated in the James Beard Foundation’s 2017 Chefs Boot Camp for Policy and Change in Burlington, VT. Sheila has now helped open three more Jax locations in Fort Collins, Glendale, and Kansas City.

Corina’s dynamic culinary background has taken her all over the country and thankfully has landed her in Boulder at the popular and innovative Kitchen Restaurant Group. Corina is an instrumental part of The Kitchen and Hedge Row American Bistros where she develops and implements recipes and menu items for all six locations including Denver, Boulder, Chicago, Memphis & Indianapolis. Other notable restaurant stints where Corina has worked include the legendary Tilth restaurant in Seattle, as well Loulay where she was as a Pastry Chef. In addition, Corina was the Research & Development Chef for Munchery, an online food ordering and meal delivery service in San Francisco.

Shamane’s Bake Shoppe in Boulder

Shamane Simons is the Chef Owner of Shamane’s Bake Shoppe in North Boulder—a culmination of years of culinary adventure, experimentation, and discovery. Shamane began as a pastry apprentice at the prestigious Flagstaff House Restaurant, before pursuing her formal culinary education at the Scottsdale Culinary Institute in Arizona.

Shamane’s resume includes time spent concocting lavish treats for recording artists such and Alice Cooper and Nine Inch Nails; and floating over the vineyards of France and Italy as personal chef for an exclusive hot air balloon company.

Shamane’s travels eventually brought her back to Boulder, where she built the bakery for The Med and Brasserie 1010 restaurants, before opening the beloved business that bears her name in April of 2004.
