The Boulder Theater truly is an all-around entertainment venue: live music of all genres, film, comedy, spoken word, corporate meetings, tech conferences, and private celebrations to name a few. Policies may vary to fit the needs of the particular event.

ALL AGE SHOWS are for patrons 15+ or older.
If your 14-year old wants to come to an all-ages show, a parent would also have to attend. The Boulder Theater reserves the right to not admit young children to certain shows if we feel the environment might not be appropriate for toddlers or youngsters…. parents in tow or not. Please protect you and your children’s ears. We have free earplugs at the bar for every show.
ID is required at all times for age-sensitive events.
Current State issued ID’s and Passports are the ONLY acceptable forms of ID. Temporary, school, expired or military ID’s are NOT accepted. False or altered ID’s will be confiscated and turned into authorities and patron may be denied entry.
Patrons are allowed to attend with a small personal item such as a purse. Backpacks and larger bags are NOT ALLOWED.
Cameras or recording devices? Generally no unless the band invites recording and photography. Flash is never allowed. Cameras and recording devices may be confiscated if used against the express wishes of the artist and house.
OUTSIDE FOOD & DRINK
Outside food and drink is not allowed. The Boulder Theater is equipped with a main bar and an upstairs bar that is also open most nights. The Lounge at the Boulder Theater is a full service bar and restaurant next door. You are welcome to bring food and drink from the restaurant into the Boulder Theater.
Refunds or exchanges after purchase are not allowed.
No shoes, no shirt? No entry.
Smoking is not allowed inside the venue, out front or behind of the venue. The City of Boulder Smoking Ordinance bans smoking within the Downtown Boulder area. Cross Spruce Street if you would like to light up please.

If you wish to attend a reserved seated show, please look for our designated ADA Admission tickets when purchasing online. These can be found through the “Choose Seats” option on the event’s ticketing page. We will be in touch following your purchase to ensure the best experience possible.
